Provides funding to determine if using modern technology will enhance the rigor and relevance of the 8th grade mathematics curriculum. Technology utilized will be “powerpoint, internet, and real-world film clips.” One-half of the 8th grade class (125 students) will participate in this program and their academic achievement results will be compared to the other half being taught with the current methods. Evaluations will then be made as to which learning targets are enhanced by technology and which are not affected.
