This is a peer-to-peer alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse prevention education program. Successful students in 9th -12th grade that are committed to living a healthy lifestyle are recruited and trained to become “peer educators” who specialize in presenting factual, age-appropriate information to middle school 8th graders. These “educators” have the unique ability to capture the attention of the younger students by acting as positive role models, thus dispelling the myth that all high school students drink, smoke or use other drugs.
