Each year, a group of students attend the Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute summer conference in Illinois. The purpose of the conference is to identify areas of concern within their community and create an action plan of how to address this issue. In the summer of 2013, the students identified underage drinking as a significant problem in Greendale. The action plan they created identified the Every 15 Minutes program as the best way to make an impact. Students expect the program to make a significant emotional impact resulting in fewer instances of underage drinking and the risk of students driving home after drinking.
